A Farmer Focused Community
The Option Army was founded by Brian Wilson in 2023 after years of deliberating the best ways to address, what to Brian was, a clear and important problem as it related to Farmers. Brian,, a 35 year career trader, realized how complicated & inaccessible trading knowledge was in general, and how Farmers were not being given the appropriate help to hedge and manage the risk of their respective operations.
Brian decided it was time launch his crusade and to create tools & share knowledge about options trade. What emerged is now The Option Army.: A Farmer First options trading community. We are a growing and supportive community, learning everyday.
About Brian
I have dedicated my career to Options Trading . Most of those years have been as a member and market maker in Soybean options at the Chicago Board of Trade since 1990 -2012. During that time I was also the Co-Chairman of the CBOT Soybean Pit Committee from 1995-2008.
Since 2013 I have been an independent screen trader, as well as a consultant for major Hedge Funds in New York, London & Pennsylvania.
With all of this knowledge and experience I wanted to help develop the next gen of traders and created a class for High School & College Students. Many of these students have since pursued successful trading careers.
This was the start of my knowledge share, and now I have a dedicated social media following on X/Twitter who scroll through for my latest insights, analysis and strategies. Of my social media followers I realized the interest extended to farmers who were keen on learning about options and technical analysis strategies.
From there , The Option Army evolved. I wanted to make my knowledge accessible and easy to follow and for everyone and anyone who wants to learn.
I am an active University of Wisconsin Alumni & live in the Chicago suburbs, where I also coach the National Swim Team at Westmont, IL. When I have time I still like to jump into the pool myself where I am training to compete in the 2024 Canadian Masters Swimming Nationals, alongside my younger sister who is a Para-Swimmer. We are raising money for Parkinson’s Research & Awareness.
